What is fleet management software?

How is fleet management different from transport management?
Fleet management cares for the asset: where every vehicle is, how it is driven, what it consumes and when it needs service or renewal. Transport management runs the work: trips, loads and per-trip costing. SynTrack offers both, on one database — most fleets start with one and switch on the other.
Does it work with GPS tracking devices?
Yes. SynTrack Fleet works with your GPS/telematics provider, bringing live location, speed and route history into the same system that holds the vehicle’s costs, documents and maintenance record.
Can it handle Mulkiya, insurance and driver licence expiries?
Yes — document control is central. Registration, insurance policies, permits, driver licences and qualifications are stored with expiry dates and shown as valid, expiring, due soon or expired. Document request templates let you collect renewals from drivers before anything lapses.
How does vehicle handover work?
Handover is a structured inspection, not a signature on paper. You configure checklist categories and items, tyre positions and condition statuses, and scoring rules — so every handover produces a scored condition record that stays visible against the vehicle.
Does it support our own workshop as well as external garages?
Both. Service providers, categories and types cover external workshops, while the built-in garage module runs your own: job cards, bays, staff, job positions, departments and complaint categories. Drivers can raise service requests that are tracked to completion.
