What is 3PL warehouse management software?
A 3PL (third-party logistics) warehouse stores and handles goods that belong to other companies. The software has to do everything a normal WMS does — receiving, putaway, picking, dispatch, counting — and one thing more: keep every client's stock, space and charges cleanly separated, so you can tell each client exactly what you hold and what they owe. Synergia 3PL WMS is built for that separation from the ground up.
How is a 3PL warehouse different from an ordinary warehouse?
In your own warehouse, stock is yours and cost is internal. In a 3PL warehouse, stock belongs to clients, space is the product you sell, and accuracy is contractual. Every receipt, movement and pick has to be attributable to an owner, and storage consumption — CBM used per rack, occupancy rate, bin occupancy — is the basis for billing, not just housekeeping.
Can it handle several warehouse types?
Yes. Warehouses are typed in the system: 3PL, distribution, fulfilment, cold storage, manufacturing and cross-dock — so a provider running a mixed estate manages all of them in one platform, with the right behaviour per site.
Does it show warehouse space visually?
Yes — one of the platform's distinctive features. Once locations are configured, a 3D warehouse view renders your racks and aisles so you can see the whole facility: rack details, bin occupancy, CBM used per rack, CBM stored and CBM free, and the overall occupancy rate.
How does it track batches, serials and expiry?
Products can be batch-tracked, serial-tracked or non-tracking, set per item. Batch allocation strategy governs how stock is committed, GRN batch allocations record what arrived under which batch, and the batch tracking report gives the full timeline — essential when the goods are someone else's and a recall must be provable.
Can clients see their own stock?
The platform includes a customer portal module, so clients can be given visibility of their own position rather than emailing for stock reports. What each client sees is scoped to their own goods. The exact portal scope is confirmed during discovery.
Does it do inventory valuation for third-party stock?
Yes. Costing methods are configurable — average costing (weighted average from GRNs), FIFO and standard price — with an average costing report, stock cost lines and detailed stock valuation by location. Multi-currency and currency exchange are built in for cross-border clients.
What reports come as standard?
